Bad Boys

He had a dark past and he carefully shared each and every single detail anonymously, much like everyone else on this site. He renamed people, including himself and he is only known by his nickname; a name he wished he could have for himself. He played around; a little too much. He made people, guys and girls alike, cry albeit unknowingly or so he claims. He is often too good for his own good.

But I love him. 

I too have had my share of dark moments in the past. Most of these had something to do with linens, dark corners and bodily fluids. I have had my share of ups and downs. I have shared a few, and take note only a few, of my own experiences online. I have renamed myself to such an extent that I would actually respond to someone calling me by my pseudonym, Tristan. This is also the name I wished for myself a few years back. I have played around everywhere; most of which I can never be proud of. I have cried over people but I made them cry harder. I prayed for their misery and misery was all too kind to grant me my wishes. I am not proud of hurting a few more. I am even worse. 

But he claims that he loves me. 

In this world where people often present their best foot forward, we showed off our bad sides. When most of the people preferred to be cute and cuddly, we played it rough. Our best features are still concealed beneath our arrogant facade. We have egos the size of planets and balls the size of comets. We remain two distinct individuals who will never accept defeat... except to each other. 

Our innermost insecurities heightened each others interests. We soon found ourselves playing with destiny, often trying to make sense of the littlest of details - our names, our experiences, the places we've been to, important dates, our lives. In as much as we refuse to admit that to ourselves that we are both falling, we have. Now we find ourselves afraid.

Who knows what's going to happen when two planets collide, when our egos meet? Will one get burned by the other's flame or will both of us burn brighter together? We still refuse to look far ahead. All we know is that right now, both of us are happy and both of us have found each other.
